Hello! This is mix of a tune that I have been working on for my little side project “Clark Parker”. It’s quite an 80’s retro sound on this track, with lots of crunchy synth based stuff. I hope you like it!
Connect360 is a fab little app that will allow you to stream your music, movies and pictures from your Mac to your Xbox360. The streaming of movies from the computer to the Xbox is smooth with hardly any buffering and no stuttering or jumping. There are some drawbacks, all the media has to live in the default Music, Movie and Pictures folders, the UI on the Xbox compared to using Microsoft Media Center is limited with no album art or rating etc. Due to the wonder that is DRM you will also not be able to play anything brought from the iTunes store and movies may have to be converted into the right codec to play.
However, apart from those drawbacks it does a very good job of getting your media onto your TV for a bargain price of $20 from Nullriver.
These guys are awesome, Kez has actually booked them to play at Bangor University’s summer ball this year, they’ll be playing to over 5000 people! Im going!!
I’m feeling in a rather musical mood today, and in keeping with this I thought I’d post an early demo of a tune I’ve been working on for my Clark Parker project. The tune is called “Words on a Screen” and it’s an instrumental at the moment. I hope you like x
Google are making a big move into the way that you use your phone. It’s called Google Voice and it sounds like something that is going to interest a lot of people.
I’ve been trying out a new service called Spotify that allows you to legally stream thousands of tracks through the Spotify desktop application. The application is good looking (at least on the mac) and intuitive to use. The ability to legally stream thousands of tracks in good quality with little or no buffering is phenomenal, at a party this would go down a treat with the ability to find and stream just about any track straight away. No more hunting around on YouTube for dodgy quality music videos to listen to.
There is the added bonus that you can share and create playlists collaborately with your friends.
They offer a paid version which is ad free for either a day or a month and also a free ad supported version.
Download and get listening at www.spotify.com
Rapping. A strange pass-time for grown men, or a rhythmically poetic art-form? Depending on the rapper in question and how I’m feeling that day, my own opinion swings between these two extremes. It is undeniably fun to do though. I submit to you the first outing of RP Rapper, direct from the mean streets of Kensington.
